Community Emergency Response Team (CERT/ERT)
"During a disaster, it's important for everyone in the community to understand one very important thing: we're not coming." -- Fire Department Chief
Emergency preparedness training was began by FEMA and Firefighters for communities when they recognized that there could never be enough police, fire, and medical personnel to respond the needs of a community experiencing a disaster. CERT is a community disaster preparedness team.
